Honouring memories
Grief does not always look like tears.
Someone can laugh, go to work, show up for others, have a normal conversation and still be carrying a deep sense of loss.
A person may look fine and still be struggling with memories, loneliness, exhaustion or pain that they don't know how to express.
So, be gentle. Check in. Give people room to be honest about how they are really doing.
Not every wound is visible, and not every grieving heart knows how to say, “I'm hurting.”
